The YM volume on Falcon is set with the input gain of the Falcon - remember that the YM is actually sampled by the Falcon soundsystem.
So if you set input gain to the max, the YM should be louder (easily tested with the Falcon sound CPX module) - but it might very well still be different than the STe mixing volume. And please if you adjust input gains, restore it on exit :)
