iirc you can use the mfp to count down the number of clock ticks. that will suit your needs i guess. what you could do is use timer C instead of A. this will ofcourse kick out the systems 200Hz timer.

my guess is timer b won't work right, because you have a huge gap (the vertical blank) where no sample is output, so you get 60 fast samples, followed by silence.
