The Manikin DAC/mixing routines sometimes get noisy, sometimes not. LIAB/MB/WOD etc all act the same.
However, I doubt Hippel composed the zik in Quartet, the Amiga version which is very similar is in the normal Hippel fileformat. I guess WoD on ST just used the DAC-table and mixing code from Manikin which obviously sounded better than the earlier routs. For comparison check Giana sisters intro - noise galore :)
