How cool is to resurrect an 8 year old thread? :) Just adding a note for myself: the numbers shown during boot have nothing to do with actual ABE/SDR inside the CT6x.
They are written into NVRAM by the flash tool. Yes, it's that primitive.
Consequences:
- if flashing from another Falcon, IIRC the flash tool is intelligent enough not to write the flashed version numbers into that Falcon's NVRAM
- if flashing from PC, well, nothing can change NVRAM
- if your NVRAM is dead, you can see pretty much anything (in my case I saw, for some reason, the last version flashed before NVRAM died)
