Question on YM
Posted by: elkpi May,21.2017-15:28

Hi,

To learn and for my own curiosity, I'm coding a simple tracker for the YM and I'm scratching my head on one point:

There is only one noise generator per chip, so only one noise period.

So how did YM trackers manage to allow on multiple channels to use instruments (like a drum) based on the noise generator, at the same time ? If they all redefine the noise period at the same time, the result won't be predictable, no ?

Did I miss something ?

Thanks....

What's the anti-troll code?
That's your personal code to be able to add comments and messages on the dhs.nu site.
Don't have a code or forgot it? Fix it here.
